During TaWave 2021, we addressed the topic of the relationship between digitalization and sustainability, with the intention of promoting a new business development model based on the conscious use of data.
We wanted to create a network of shared interests among companies, professionals, entrepreneurs and students interested in the digital world.
The speeches and debates among the experts invited to participate represented a source of information, awareness and inspiration.
We explored the macro-theme of digital sustainability and data-driven companies through the discussion of professionals who are contributing to the achievement of these goals on a daily basis.

Impact on the territory
The 1st edition of TAWAVE created a series of opportunities:
- the event attracted professionals and experts from all over Italy and, in one case, from England;
- the event became a case study discussed in several schools in Taranto, which endorsed the mission of the initiative’s promoter;
- the event attracted the attention of the ITES Pitagora of Taranto, which asked the event organizers to design a training and orientation course for 5th year students in order to acquire the appropriate skills for a conscious and sustainable use of technology and to demonstrate the wide range of professional possibilities in a strongly growing sector.
